‘Teach SolaShee’ (House ‘Faery-Light’) is situated in a quiet, rural part of County Sligo. Here you’ll find a warm welcome during or between tours and workshops at reasonable B & B rates.
We offer a hospitable and informal atmosphere, and the guest quickly becomes a member of the family - in the tradition of the original B&B - spirit. A toilet and a shower in your wardrobe or satellite TV are not to be dreaded ;) But loads of quiet- and peacefulness you’ll get. And pure nature. The property is surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and virtually uncountable pagan sacred sites - an ideal starting point for tours of all kinds.

Our ’Rambling House’ - more than 150 years old - is right next door. It was the original family home.
The name indicates that it was also being used as a gathering place for regular ‘ramblings’ - meetings with neighbours and friends. Music, dancing & merrymaking, and -of course!- ‘poíteen’ (the illegally brewed Whiskey) seem to have been integral parts at these occasions ...
              
This traditional old Irish Cottage is now in the process of renovation to be used as a place for Workshops und Seminars in the future. Meanwhile traditional music sessions are taking place there -just like in the old days :). The big open fireplace also supplies a magical atmosphere for esbaths and sabbaths, which can’t be held outside.
              
We always try to make it possible for our guests to  take part in either one of these memorable experiences.

Please NOTE:   this offer can only be valid for tourguests and / or participants of longer seminars! We simply do not have the capacities for other guests.

As our little home lies really very remote, self-catering would only make some sense if you had a car at your disposal. Even then our kitchen is tiny, there’s only one room suitable for dining, and we’ll be out and about questing during the day anyway. So the option for the complete ‘sleep-and-eat’ package is probably the smart one. But fear not: we do our very best to cook healthy and tasty. Preferences, special requests and diatery necessities will of course be observed as far as possible. You also will find that our quotes for the additional meals are quite customerfriendly for Irish norms.
Of course there is also always room for compromise, should you insist on having breakfast only.
  

Prices for Bed and Breakfast (*):

- Double Room :      56,- € per night
- Single Room :        34,- € per night

Prices for Bed and Board (**):

- Double Room :      80,- € per night
- Single Room :        45,- € per night
  
(*) Rich breakfast:  “full irish” & “continental breakfast” alternating each day

(**) Includes breakfast (see *), lunchparcel and hot evening dinner.
Also fresh fruit (organic where possible), biscuits and non-alcoholic beverages for inbetween.
  
  
All meals include -mostly our own- organically grown salads, herbs, vegetables
and potatoes. Also homemade jams and pickles - all according to season.

We generally cook moderately vegetarian (incl. fish, eggs & daeries),
so if you are a meateater or living vegan, please tell us when booking.
